Your California privacy rights under the CCPA

The California Consumer Privacy Act gives California residents specific rights over their personal information. We honour these requests from anyone who asks, not only California residents — it is simpler to run one process than two.

The categories of personal information we collect, and what we do with them, are set out in full in our privacy policy. In summary we collect identifiers (name, email, postal address, phone), commercial information (what you ordered), internet activity (pages visited, via analytics cookies you accepted), and — where you pay by card — payment details used to take the payment for that order.
We do not sell personal information, and we have not sold or shared it in the preceding twelve months. We do not sell the personal information of anyone under 16.
Note that "sharing" has a specific meaning under the CCPA: disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. Our advertising cookies stay off unless you accept them in the cookie banner, and declining leaves the shop fully functional.

Before we act on a request to know or delete, we need to be reasonably confident you are who you say you are. We match the email address in the request against our records, and for a deletion request we may ask you to confirm from that address. We will not ask you for a password or payment details to verify a request — nobody legitimate ever will.
An authorised agent may act for you with written permission, which we may ask to see.
We confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If a request is genuinely complex we may extend by a further 45 days, and we will tell you before we do.
Exercising these rights costs you nothing and changes nothing about the price you pay or the service you get. We will not deny you goods, charge a different price, or provide a different quality of service because you made a request.
